Argan Oil is a truly beautiful ingredient to use for both skin and hair. It is healing and moisturizing, anti-aging and is a great food for your skin.
It is indeed quite famous in cosmetic world and there are some great reasons for this.
First of all, for a carrier or fixed oil it is non greasy so is very easy to use as is or added up to ready product. It is great in hot climate where greasy oils do not feel so great due to the longer absorption time.
Also Argan Oil is incredibly rich in Vitamin A and Vitamin E providing for its great anti-aging effect and moisturizing. And more than that, Argan Oil is also packed with anti-oxidants, Omega-6 fatty acids, and linoleic acid.
So if you think if you need it on your shelf I’d say sure it is one of those must have and can be used widely as is or mixed.
First of all, it is known to be one of the best moisturizers for hair. For one believing to have dull and lifeless hair then this would be a great choice of a hair oil. It can be used as a hair mask. Use enough small amount but enough depending on hair length warm it slightly and massage into scalp and hair all the way to the tips. Cover your head with shower cap or a scarf and leave on for at least two hours or overnight after that wash off the remaining oil with your regular shampoo. Repeat every 3 days or once a week (depending on how dry your hair is) and you will forget about dry frenzy or dull hair after a month or so. For the hot climate adding a couple of drops of Rosemary or Cranberry Seed Oil would enhance this mask with the hair growth and sun protective qualities. The same mix can be used as a styling oil and this is working great for gents also.
Hair mask would be far not the only way to use this beautiful oil. The oil absorbs quickly into skin so can be a great moisturizer for the skin as well. For the body the oil can be used instead of a body lotion as is. Take a few drops warm it and apply as a normal body lotion. Then depending on a skin type can use essential oils as mix. But in this case do remember to mix the oils in advance and do not over go 2% of essential oils in the mix. Essential oils can make for a great aromatic additions and medicinal as well. Some Argan oil mixed with Agarwood (Oud) Frankincense and Vanilla oil make up for a beautiful sensual body oil which same time have anti-aging, moisturizing and revitalizing effect on the skin, mix of Sweet Orange and Lemon will not just make you feel fresh and smell yummy but will also be great moisturizer and anti-oxidant with some light whitening effect. Just let your imagination go and do some research to find the best mix for your skin. Your skin will sure be thankful!
Do not forget though to appreciate Argan Oil healing and anti-oxidant effect. Argan Oil can be used a few drops topically for scars and small cuts. It has shown positive effect on the stretch marks as well by moisturizing and rejuvenating the skin. With high linoleic acid content helps to reduce inflammation caused by acne, (not to mention rashes, infections and bug bites) while helping heal damaged skin cells. So for this Argan Oil can be as well added to the ready product or as is and applied topically for the infected areas.
I hope you would enjoy this wonderful oil and your beautifying experiments
